In the 80's, pig farms were phased out in Singapore. A family in Lim Chu Kang decided to relocate their farm to Weifang, Shandong, China. This was the pioneering step to scale greater heights in agricultural ventures.
Humble steps

Feedmill
Qiaoxin Group
With 500亩 (mu, Chinese acres) of farmland, the new huge pigfarm can only fill one corner. A large feedmill factory later sits on the other end. Between these two large structures lay a vast expanse of arable land. Enterprising Contract Farmers came to cultivate the open fields with fruits and vegetables.

Greenhouse
Earthen greenhouse
Amidst the fields of fruits and vegetables, sprouted mammoth earthen greenhouses that continued to grow juicy grapes and all sorts of leafies under winter snow. The collaboration with these Contract Farmers led to many diverse joint ventures from carrots to melons.

Farms
New farmlands
Everything was moving in high gear. Livestock and feedmill operations expanded rapidly, their extensions encroached the open fields of Contract Farmers vying for more space to increase their yields. The displaced Contract Farmers shifted their culitvation to bigger farmlands across China. The parting was inevitable but our partnerhip was strengthen. The years of bonding was fruitful.

Angkher
Later steps
Our association with these Contract Farmers continued as they carved new farms from Inner Mongolia to Yunnan including parts of SE.Asia. Our contract farming today has another meaning with new scope in cultivation for international growers. The new exposure coupled with our search across China for wider range of produce gave birth to Angkher. The organisation may be new but the steps taken over the years are our foundation.
